Ukraine’s Air Force said its air defenses neutralized 274 Russian drones and six S8000 Banderol/Dan-T munitions during an attack on Sunday, November 1, providing an early account of a large-scale strike that was still underway when the figures were released.
The Ukrainian military said Russian forces launched 326 attack UAVs during the reporting period, including 55 jet-powered aircraft. The barrage also involved Gerbera UAVs and other drone types, along with six S8000 Banderol/Dan-T jet-powered loitering munitions, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“During the day on 1 November (from 06:30 to 19:00), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 326 attack drones (55 of them jet-powered), Gerbera UAVs and drones of other types, as well as six S8000 Bandеrol/Dan-Ts.”
The Air Force’s preliminary assessment said that 274 UAVs were shot down or jammed. That total included 46 jet-powered drones. The military also said all six S8000 Banderol/Dan-T munitions had been neutralized during the period covered by its statement.
Operations were still continuing
Ukraine’s Air Force reported that more than 20 Russian UAVs remained in Ukrainian airspace when the figures were published and that combat operations against the remaining targets were ongoing. Because the figures were described as preliminary, the reported totals could be revised as Ukrainian authorities complete their assessment of the attack.
The announcement illustrates the scale and variety of aerial threats Ukraine said it faced in a single day. The reported package combined conventional attack drones, jet-powered UAVs and the S8000 Banderol/Dan-T, which Ukrinform described as a jet-powered loitering munition. The Air Force did not provide further details in the statement about the launch locations, intended targets or the geographic distribution of the reported interceptions.
- 326 attack UAVs were reported launched by Russian forces.
- 55 of those drones were described as jet-powered.
- 274 UAVs were reported shot down or jammed.

The figures were published by Ukraine’s Air Force during the November 1 attack and represent the Ukrainian military’s account of the engagement. They should be distinguished from independently verified assessments of drone losses or the effectiveness of individual air-defense systems, neither of which was provided in the report.
