Hundreds of illuminated drones are scheduled to form animals above Wentworth Woodhouse on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, as the touring production WILD: The Drone Light Show visits the historic property.
The 40-minute performance is built around four natural environments: the desert, ocean, arctic and jungle. Its aerial sequences are designed to depict creatures including penguins and polar bears, with the drone formations accompanied by cinematic music after dark.
A wildlife-focused aerial program
WILD uses coordinated drone movements and onboard illumination to create changing images in the sky rather than relying on fireworks. The organizers describe the production as containing no loud bangs, a format intended to reduce disruption for pets and wildlife while providing a quieter alternative to a traditional fireworks display.
- Location: Wentworth Woodhouse
- Dates: October 30 and October 31
- Duration: 40 minutes
- Program: Desert, ocean, arctic and jungle sequences
Visitors will be able to arrive before the main performance for an event village offering food, drinks and entertainment. The principal show is scheduled to begin after dark, although the event information does not provide a specific flight time for either evening.
Touring production
Celestial created WILD, while experience company Yuup is producing the tour. Celestial was a runner-up on Series 19 of Britain’s Got Talent. The production launched in 2025 and follows earlier drone-show projects from the same team, including A Christmas Carol and Evolution.
Yuup and Celestial say their ticketed drone shows have attracted more than 200,000 visitors since 2023. WILD has received more than 15,000 audience reviews and has an average rating of 4.9 stars, according to the event information. The Wentworth Woodhouse performances extend a touring format that combines programmed unmanned aircraft, music and large-scale outdoor viewing into a single evening production.
